I saw a vision in 1981 in which people came towards me with smiling faces but behind them came a strong fire from a big hole. The Holy Spirit told me that the smiling faces are saved people, but some will be like refugees running from the lake of fire. Since then, I understood the urgency of soul saving work.
I was a board member, small group leader and later anointed as an elder of my church. Now, I serve passionately as intercessor, visitation and in the choir.
Intercession has been my burden and main ministry for the past 20 years.
20 years ago God spoke to me to build an altar of prayer and that He would bless me. These words were engraved deeply in my heart.
I know my calling is to pray for my family, relatives, church and nation. Though I am not educated, God’s grace is sufficient for me. He gave me many beautiful prayer phrases. I know that He will prepare me and give me the gifts to serve Him.
I always maintain a prayer journal. I record all prayer request items. The journal also consists of the names of my relatives, brothers and sisters in Christ, pastors and leaders so that I can pray for them by name. I have been doing this for the past 20 years.
It is through God given strength that I could pray persistently for the past 20 years. Even though I am 80 years old, I will continue to serve him as long as I am still alive.
